It was written by our local doctors, allied health practitioners and community members just to get us started.

Can’t Find what you are looking for?
Let us know what’s missing! If there is a simple answer we can try to get back to you. Keep in mind that we are volunteers and this may not be quick.
If the missing piece you are looking for fits the website, we will try to find a writer and researcher for the missing piece and update the website. Or you could help us with this by being the writer or collaborating on this. Getting new information on the site is a process and will likely take several months.
-
How can I help with the website?
This is meant to be a living website. The information that we have on it has been gathered from cancer patients, families, professionals in the field and the Silver Linings Cancer fair. It is meant to be updated by the community as people discover information and resources that would be helpful for others to find.
So how can you help:
- Give us feedback to help keep the sections updated
- Find new resources we haven’t listed yet
- Suggest a new section of information.
- Become a writer
- Take local pictures to add to the sections
- Find a story to share about a cancer journey that might help others
-
How often is this website updated?
This website is fueled by information from the community and is run by volunteers. In the first year we hope to get lots of feedback. We will try to do updates every 3 months based on information coming in. After that, the major review and updates will be once a year. Every year, we will ask section champions to review a section of the website to make sure it's as accurate and up to date as possible.
